Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a wonderful spot any day of the year. The area includes a huge lake, camping, miles of bike trails and extensive hiking and wildlife.  Lake Mead is home to thousands of desert plants and animals and offers some of the country's best sport fishing. Boating and water skiing.  Some crazier types also attempt kayaking and canoeing.  In addition, shaded picnic areas with tables, water, fire grills, and restrooms are located throughout the area.
