Red Rock Canyon is almost 200,000 acres of protected natural beauty. The spectacular desert landscape, plants and animals of Red Rock Canyon represent some of the best the Mojave Desert has to offer. The main loop of the canyon consists of a 13-mile scenic drive, climbing and hiking trails, picnic areas, and a fantastic visitor center. Numerous interpretive programs and events are sponsored throughout the year.
