The Springs Preserve is a historic Las Vegas site that was once a source of water for Native Americans living here thousands of years ago. The Springs Preserve has been called the "birthplace of Las Vegas" as it served as an important watering hole on the Old Spanish Trail which eventually led to permanent settlements. The 180 acre Springs Preserve includes a wetland habitat, walking trails, botanical gardens and several exhibits. The site also hosts outdoor concerts and events throughout the year.
